Te Aro Zero Waste Spring into Summer Series.
Join Lydia from Pickled Compost for a hands on bokashi session that will provide the knowledge and confidence needed to ‘pickle scraps’ and make nutrient rich compost that will nourish plants in pots and small gardens.
Participants will receive a sample of Pickled Composting Flakes (bokashi inoculant) to kickstart their own bokashi compost at home.
The Bokashi method of 'pickling' kitchen food scraps is a form of fermented composting which enables all food scraps - including raw and cooked meat & fish waste (incl. bones/shells), dairy products, citrus etc. to be composted in small spaces, without bad odours or attracting pests.
Composting is climate action, it feeds our soils and keeps valuable food scraps out of landfill.
Tickets are $20
