Tech & Small Appliances Terms and Conditions

At Te Aro Zero Waste, we stand behind the quality and functionality of our technology products and small appliances. The following terms and conditions apply to our 30 Day Right of Return policy.

1. Eligibility for Return

Customers may request a return within 30 days of the original purchase date for eligible tech products and small appliances purchased from Te Aro Zero Waste.

To qualify for a return:

• The item must be returned with proof of purchase.

• The item must include all original accessories, chargers, cables, manuals, and packaging where reasonably possible.

• The item must not be intentionally damaged, modified, or misused.

2. Troubleshooting and Repair Process

Before a refund of return is approved, the Te Aro Zero Waste team will work with the customer to identify and resolve any issues with the item.

This may include:

• Technical troubleshooting.

• Software configuration assistance.

• Repair assessment.

• Replacement parts or servicing where appropriate.

Refunds or returns will only be considered after reasonable efforts have been made to correct or resolve the issue.

3. Exclusions

The 30 Day Right of Return does not apply to:

Battery life of all items/devices.

Modifications to the existing operating system or software deployed on the device at time of purchase.

Aesthetic preferences or cosmetic concerns.

Ergonomic preferences or comfort-related issues.

Change-of-mind purchases.

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, liquid exposure, accidental damage, or unauthorised repairs.

Products altered from their original configuration in ways that affect stability or compatibility.

4. Refund Approval

Where a return is approved:

• Refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

• Te Aro Zero Waste reserves the right to provide a repair, replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the nature of the issue and the condition of the product.

5. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes customer rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.
