We are partnering with Kai Ika on their Cans for Kai fundraising.

Kai Ika utilises fish heads, frames and offal which were previously going to waste, collecting from various sources and redistributing to needy families and community groups. The Kai Ika Wellington team are sharing over 450kg every week with families and community groups.

What you can recycle through this programme

Drop your aluminium cans from work or home to us.

The Cans for Kai wheelie bin willl be available during opening hours. Wednesday to Saturday, from 10 till 4.

Best practice for recycling

Rinse your cans. Ideally, bring them to us crushed so we can fit more in the wheelie bin before it gets collected.

What happens to the cans

Cans for Kai collect the cans and then send them to Phoenix Recycling Group. They get paid for the collected aluminium cans, providing financial support and contributing to their independence.
