Help for low-income households

The funding criteria for the goverment's Warm up New Zealand: Healthy Homes  programme has recently got much wider, which means more people can get funding to help pay for insulation.

Community Services Card holders are still eligible, so if you own your own home or rent one, get in touch for help to apply.

The new criteria opens up the funding to people that do not have a Community Services Card, but are still classed as low-income because their income level is up to $20,000 above the most relevant Community Services Card threshold.

For example:

Family size Gross annual cut-out point
Single, sharing accommodation  $46,330
Single, living alone  $47,942
Married, in a civil union or de facto relationship  $61,783
Single , sharing accommodation (NZS)  $46,949
Single, living alone (NZS)  $48,626
Married, in a civil union or de facto relationship  $62,836
2 person family - 1 adult, 1 child  $69,993
3 person family  $80,402
4 person family  $88,682
5 person family  $96,790
6 person family  $105,852
For each additional family member add  $7,986

There is some paperwork to complete to get funding, which our team of Home Energy Assessors and Customer Services staff can help with.
