Come along to our May Just Sew session for 2025. Repairing rather than buying new is a great way to take climate action in your own life – and learn new skills along the way. 

Our skilled volunteers will be here to assist you with fixes such as missing buttons, tears, holes, and hemming. There will also be a DIY table for those who are confident at sewing alone but may not have access to a machine at home.

Drop in for a morning of making reusable period products, kōrero and empowerment. With opportunity for everyone to get involved, experience is not necessary.

The Tip Shop Truck will be at Te Aro Zero Waste (formerly EcoCentre) at 2 Forresters Lane on the fourth Saturday of every month for the next three months. 

The Tip Shop team will be collecting any big, bulky, awkward and otherforgotten reusable items.  

They’ll be taking furniture, building and gardening materials, books, and bric-a-brac.
