Join Clare from Arts On Track Studio (Plimmerton Railway station), to learn how to stitch boro and sashiko patterns to produce a patch for jeans, or to cover a hole in a bag or jacket.
Sashiko (meaning little stabs) is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan. Traditionally used to reinforce points of wear or to repair torn parts of clothing.
In this class , participants can mend an item of their own clothing or construct a patch which can later be applied to a bag, jacket or the knee of jeans.
