Donating to the Curtain Bank

The Wellington Curtain Bank needs preloved curtains or rolls of fabric to turn in to double-layered curtains for families in need.

What is preloved? Preloved means you loved them once, but not anymore. Preloved means you’d feel proud giving them to someone else.

The Wellington Curtain Bank up-cycles pre-loved curtains gives them to low-income families in the Wellington Region.
And it needs your help.

We take:

  • Good quality, mould-free curtains

  • Fabric rolls or large offcuts of fabric

  • Tracks and hooks

  • Rolls of white/cream or grey, poplin/polyester/cotton or calico

We don’t take:

  • Dirty, sun-damaged or mouldy curtains

  • Curtain rods or brackets

  • Any type of blinds

  • Netting
