Across the Wellington region we offer free advocacy, support and advice for families who live in cold, damp homes.
If you answered yes to most of the above, we may be able to help.
Both through our part in the regional healthy housing initiative Well Homes, and our own programme Warm Fuzzies, we can support you to create a healthier home for your family.
We visit the home to assess why it is cold, damp and unhealthy and then create an action plan which can help to improve it.
We can talk your landlord about better insulation and fixed heating, give you better heaters, curtains, bedding and give you tips on keeping the home warm and dry.
Health professionals and social workers can refer families to the service, but families are also able to self-refer.
Warm Fuzzies and our part in Well Homes is funded by our work in creating energy efficient homes and also by our generous funders Wellington Community Trust, Hutt Mana Charitable Trust and Ministry of Health.
