Keep the Wheels Spinning E-bike Symposium

  • Sustainability Trust 2 Forresters Lane Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

The popularity of e-bikes has exploded locally and internationally. E-bikes are an efficient and cost-effective form of transport, helping to increase access, reduce congestion and emissions, and improve health outcomes. A key issue constraining the pace of e-bike adoption is their cost. E-bike pilots are an increasingly popular method for opening up e-bike access to a wider group of people in the community. A growing number of publicly funded e-bike schemes to increase e-bike access are being trialled across Aotearoa, across different locations, using different loan models and partnership approaches.

Activation Project would love to invite you to Keep the Wheels Spinning, an e-bike symposium in Wellington, to share stories and findings from people who have delivered community e-bike pilots across the country. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the key barriers and solutions to increasing e-bike uptake across diverse communities. The event aims to identify a way forward to make e-bikes more accessible to different communities across Aotearoa.

The event is free and can be attended in-person or online.
