Switched On: Repair Workshop #2

Sustainability Trust and MakeRoom are running sessions to empower all of us to get more life out of our electrical goods. In this second session we’ll be covering maintenance, common household repairs and what we can all do to advocate for our right to repair.

We love repairing things, it’s a great way to reduce the amount of waste we require and produce.  By repairing when we can, we’re saving money and the planet at the same time. It’s one of the easiest ways you can take action on climate change. Plus, it’s a great way to upskill.

Workshop 2 – diagnosing a problem, maintenance and advocating for your Right to Repair – 1.5 hours long

You will come away from this session knowing:

  • Why to care about repair.

  • Tips and tricks for maintenance

  • Where to get help with repair

  • How to buy for durability

  • How to dispose of electrical waste responsibly.

  • How to advocate for the Right to Repair
