Home Advice Launch

Home Advice’s official launch is in conjunction with the first Green Drinks Wellington for 2012! Come along to catch up and network with all the fantastic people, organisations, and businesses working alongside each other to make Wellington Region great.  And learn about the Trust’s newest programme!

Home Advice is Wellington Region’s free phone and email consultation service providing impartial, expert advice on water, waste, energy and edible gardening.

Expert speakers will give brief overviews on the state of Wellington Region’s environment and why it’s important to be conscious of what we can each do to reduce costs to ourselves and the environment. Nibbles will be on hand.

Community Garden Tours

Sustainability Trust invites you on a tour of Wellington’s local community gardens.

Visit your local Community Garden, see how it’s run, and find out why people are so passionate about community gardening.

Visit one or all four gardens. Each garden has its own community and unique way of growing.

*Please arrive 10 minutes early for a prompt start*

Sunday, March 18th
10am-12pm Mokai Kainga, Owhiro Bay – 72 Happy Valley Road
1-3pm Brooklyn Gardens, Brooklyn – Brooklyn Orchard on Harrison Road

Sunday , March 25th
10am-12pm, Innermost Gardens, Mt Victoria – end of Lawson’s Lane (top of Marjoribanks St)
1-3pm Kai o Te Aro, Aro Valley – Aro Community Centre, 48 Aro Street
