This Bugger Off Natural Insect Repellant is the handiest thing to have in your pocket on your Summer tramp, by you in your Spring gardening or to give your adventuring Tropical friend. No fuss, easy to use, natural ingredients, comes in a tin (no plastic), lasts many trips, and is made locally in the Hawkes Bay!
This gentle salve helps keep mozzies, sandflies and other annoying insects away. It also soothes itching from bites and stings. The backbone of this repellant is the Titoki tree, or the N.Z. Oak – an attractive tree, widespread in Hawke’s Bay. Traditionally used by the Maori, the Titoki leaves have no noticeable smell but repel insects and relieve itching. Millstream Gardens has enhanced its effectiveness by adding essential oils of N.Z. Manuka (Tea Tree) and Aussie Lemon Gum.
Contents: Maceration of Titoki leaves (Alectryon excelsus) in Olive oil (Olea europaea), Beeswax, Essential Oils of Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) and Eucalyptus citriodora.
Kiwi Slang Definition: ‘Bugger Off’ – Not as rude as it sounds, it means ‘go away, scram, beat it, vamoose.’ ‘Little Buggers’ – Nuisances, annoying critters, also used as a term of affection.
