Fairtrade Fortnight 2018 at Sustainability Trust

Sustainability Trust is supporting Fairtrade Fortnight 2018, which runs from August 3 to 16  and shines a spotlight on all things fair trade. Fair trade is about stable prices, decent working conditions — and empowering farmers and workers around the world.

Wellington leads New Zealand in fair trade. In 2009, we became the first Fair Trade Capital City in the Southern Hemisphere. With more than 100 fair trade retailers (and many, many supporters) fair trade is lighting up Wellington City.

During Wellington’s Fair Trade Fortnight, the best of fair trade in our capital is on show — with a series of talks, films, pop-up shops and other exciting events.

Sustainability Trust is running the Fair trade Fair on 11 August and a Fairtrade Baking Workshop on August 14. See you there!
