Wellington Curtain Bank is now shut to clients until April 2015.
This season, with the support of many generous donations, and Genesis Energy, the Curtain Bank team has provided over 2000 free curtains to over 600 homes. If you’ve got curtains you’d like to donate, you can do so, as usual, at Sustainability Trust HQ, all year round.
Who can get curtains?
If you need curtains, live in the Wellington Region, and have a Community Services card, we can help. Wellington Curtain Bank generally provide curtains for your home’s main living area. If someone in your house has housing-related medical issues, or is very young or elderly, we’ll try to provide curtains for their bedroom as well.
Once you have tailored, lined curtains up in your living room, you’ll notice straight away that the room is cosier, and cheaper to keep warm. You’ll also find that your family gets fewer colds and related illnesses this winter.
