Public Debate

Schedule 4: To Mine or Not to Mine?

Thursday 29th April, 2010.
Time: 18:00 - 19:30
Location: St John's in the City, cnr Willis & Dixon Sts, Wellington

 

Metiria Turei MP invites you to attend a public debate on the heated topic of mining in Schedule 4 conservation lands.

 

Two teams will go head to head, debating for and against the proposition: To Mine or Not to Mine?

Opposing the proposal to mine in Schedule 4 lands will be Green Party Co-leader Metiria Turei, and Forest & Bird Conservation Advocate Quentin Duthie.

For the affirmative, we will hear from Straterra Spokesperson Chris Baker and Export NZ Executive Director Catherine Beard.
